Zechariah 13

(Zec 13:1)  In that day there shall be a fountain opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness.

What fountain? This fountain is to wash them of there sins. There is only one fountain that can wash anyone of there sins.  The blood of Jesus Christ is the product of this fountain.
But reading on I see two things happening.
1 The Jews will be wet by the Spirit of God and
2 some (the youth) will be wet and open there eyes to Jesus the Christ.

These two things will cause the next verse to happen...

Zec 13:2  And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of hosts, that I will cut off the names of the idols out of the land, and they shall no more be remembered: and also I will cause the prophets and the unclean spirit to pass out of the land.

Here the Jews (all of them) will say, “everyone out!", "Muslims out, Catholics out, Buddhist out, Hindus out, and even Christians out!" because in there minds there is only one God and they are correct. Remember this is the Jewish mind set, so Jesus isn't in the picture. They will take back the Temple Mount and probable destroy the Dome of the Rock. Wow what will the world, much less the Muslims, say?

Zec 13:3  And it shall come to pass, that when any shall yet prophesy, then his father and his mother that begat him shall say unto him, Thou shalt not live; for thou speakest lies in the name of the LORD: and his father and his mother that begat him shall thrust him through when he prophesieth.

Now it is talking about some people who will prophesy (or teach) Look again at 13:2 it doesn’t say, “the false prophet and the unclean spirits" just the prophets. Hence true prophets will be kicked out of Jerusalem as well. But now it looks like some prophets or people teaching will rise from there own families, even there own children. And the parents will tell them to stop telling lies and using Gods name. These prophets will be teaching Jesus!

Zec 13:4  And it shall come to pass in that day, that the prophets shall be ashamed every one of his vision, when he hath prophesied; neither shall they wear a rough garment to deceive:

Zec 13:5  But he shall say, I am no prophet, I am an husbandman; for man taught me to keep cattle from my youth.

Here the "kid prophets" question themselves and say, " I am not a priest or a Bible or Torah guy, I am just a regular Joe, a blue collar kind of guy. I don't ware the fancy garb of Jewish Priest.

Zec 13:6  And one shall say unto him, What are these wounds in thine hands? Then he shall answer, Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends.

Now in this verse it talks about what people will say to the "Kid Prophets", they will say," What's with the guy with the nail wounds in his hands {Jesus}", the Kid Prophets will answer," you did it to Jesus, our Jewish fathers wounded him and he came as a friend".

Zec 13:7  Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, and against the man that is my fellow, saith the LORD of hosts: smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered: and I will turn mine hand upon the little ones.

Now here God speaks and says what He will do. The Jews are going to go against Jesus (not the physical Jesus). The Jesus that is in these new (kid Prophet) Christians that represent Jesus and Jesus is in them. If I say “I am going to turn my hand upon this little bug here”, it simply means that I am going to cup my hand and cover it up and protect it. Same with God in this verse, he will protect the little ones.

Zec 13:8  And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein.

2/3 of the Christians (New Jewish Christians) will die as Christians - let me please infer here, to die as a Christian is a good thing! Only the dead would bury the dead. And to die because I love Jesus would be a great gift! With that said I don't want to die now, I have a lot of work to do and love to give. So don't feel bad for this 2/3.-

Zec 13:9  And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God.
Finally, at least concerning this group of Jewish Christians, God says that the remaining 1/3 will go through the Tribulation while covered by the hand of God. They will have hard times but they will be better for it. I believe that at least this group will have a miraculous ability to talk to God and that he will listen as well as answer.
